Fairy Sight

"Yes, I know that it can try one's patience when others cannot see or feel them, but be gentle in spirit. Remember that they have not used the ability for lifetimes, and have forgotten how. Do not allow the emotions of anger to enter your thoughts and actions. Be patient, for now they are like babes, who have yet developed and grown. Guide and share, but never force. And, just as in all children, in time when they are ready, the knowledge will come, along with the ability, to once again open their mind's eye to all."

*~*The Old One*~*
(from the Jillandra Book ~ A Fairy Tale : by Soull Bionne)

Jillandra slept peacefully through the night. She felt quite safe and very loved! She awoke the next morning, to the sound of a barking dog. Slowly she sat up, and the first thing she noticed was that there were little beings completely encircling her. The Old One stood in front of her and lifted his finger to his lips, making sure that she stayed quiet. Looking around to see where the dog was, a man, dressed in shabby, dirty clothes, came into view. He had a most disagreeable scowl on his face, as if he hated the world! He sat, leaning against a tree, and began yelling at his dog.

"Quiet you worthless mutt!" he yelled. The poor dog tried to nuzzle close to his master, and was immediately shoved away with such roughness, that Jillandra gasped. The man looked up, but saw nothing. Grumbling, he pulled an old burlap bag around and rummaged through it. Finally finding what he had been searching for, he pulled out a large chunk of bread. The poor dog, horribly thin and starving, begged his master for a bite. The man smacked him soundly in the face and then pushed him. Whimpering, the weak animal staggered away.

Jilla was so upset, that the Old One again raised his hand to keep her from saying anything. "He cannot see you as long as you stay within our circle! You will not be visible to his eyes, for he has an unkind heart that is full of hate and cruelty."

"But...I don't understand..." the girl whispered.

The Old One lifted his finger to his lips again. "He cannot see you, but he can hear you!"
"Eef," said the oldest elf, "venture around that large rock and fetch the dog. Guide him to where we have leftover food from our grand feast last night. He will have his fill!"

Eef immediately opened his incredible wings and darted off to where the dog had retreated. Feeling total love, the dog eagerly followed the little fairy, knowing that he was in no danger. When the dog came upon the pile of leftover food, he waited until Eef offered it to him and gobbled every last bit of it, with his tail wagging all the while! Eef sat a short distance away, watching with great joy.

Now finished, the mean man shouted for his dog. "Get over here you good-for-nothing cur!"

Head hanging, and tail between his legs, the poor dog followed his cruel master, and they all watched silently until they could see them no more.

Jillandra had so many questions! "Old One, why couldn't he see us?"

"He could not see us because only those who are gentle spirited and have kind hearts are allowed. We can control this most of the time. If we put up our defense, no one can see us, but a select few! You see, most humans only see one world. This is the physical world. But, for those who still remember, or somehow know, they can see other worlds as well, and those who dwell within those worlds. Most of us who dwell in other worlds know how to slip from one world to the other. We don't need physical bodies, but find that it is great fun to possess one when we visit certain realms. Each human is born with the ability to see all forms, but as they grow older, and get more and more attached to the "physical world", they lose these precious abilities. They are still there, but they are hidden deeply within, and sometimes, they never surface again."

"How can others bring that ability back...or can they?" asked the girl.

The Old One chuckled. "You are eager to learn! Some humans know that the ability is there, but they have to adjust their sight patterns to see what is not obvious. It is like when a human sees an optical illusion. He sees the obvious, but if he adjusts his eyes, he will also see that there is another picture as well! Some have had good success when using items to attract entities from other realms. We are all partial to certain things. Many are treasures from the earth, like plants, precious stone and metals. I have known humans to make dear little packets filled with things that we love, and leave it for us as a gift. This act of love softens their hearts, and earns our trust. Some also use Fairy Sight Oil. This is an oil made with burrberry, and it usually has a pinch of fairy dust in it,if it can be found, and sometimes Hawthorne bark, or a tiny piece of green Apatite gemstone...sometimes Amethyst. If it is created properly, aged under the correct conditions, and shaken thoroughly before using, it can be quite beneficial if faes are about! We make it in the forest to use on those who we would like to see us, but need a bit of help!"

"Old One, why couldn't the man see me? I am not a fairy!"

Quite amused, the Old One chuckled again. "No, you are not a fairy, but you were surrounded by a ring of protection. We actually built a wall of entities around you throughout the night, so that no one would see or disturb you. Everything within the ring was invisible to human eyes. Did you notice, though, that the dog could see us? This is because most animals naturally love unconditionally, and have loving hearts. Have you ever seen a dog or cat stare at what appears to be nothing? It looks as if they are watching something that no one else can see. The animal could be right in the middle of a room and look as though something appears to have caught its attention. They stare up and into the air, but when you look to see what they have spied, you can see nothing. In truth, they see us flying about all the time, or sometimes, if an elfin is tiptoeing across the mantle over a fireplace, or crossing the room! They see us...yes they do!"

"Well! laughed Jillandra. "I certainly am glad that I can see all of you!"

"Let us ready ourselves for our morning meal. We have a big day ahead!" And with that, they folded her coverlet and started their day.

Anola has discovered my camera. She now thinks that she is a photographer, but she doesn't realize that she has to aim the camera properly first, and also make sure she's out of the way. She sits on top of the camera and has to lean over to the right to push the large button with both of her little hands. Many times she loses her balance and topples off. She's quite comical and mumbles and talks to herself the whole time she's doing it! **Click on the picture and it will take you to a page that shows a fairy manifestation. It has been done in normal color, black and white, negative and solarized in order to show the energy fields around the entity easier.

There really are things that humans can do to help train themselves and their eyes to observe what isn't obvious. One method that is quite useful is looking at optical illusions of all sorts. If you can train your eyes to adapt to the "other" picture, you will also train your mind to automatically switch from a human's physical plane to other realms that exist at the same time! If you click on the hand below, you will be taken to an index that offers you a number of optical illusion to experience. Practice looking at them and training your eyes to quickly adjust to the "other" picture that isn't so obvious. The faster your eyes adjust, the better your chances are of possibly being able to see "little ones" in the future! (Of course they have to BE there!)
