"My goodness, Py!" she said. "I think you want to get down, don't
you?"
Jilla gently lifted her little friend from her shoulder and placed
him onto the ground. "Now don't get lost, little one."
Off he went, running here and there. The flowers grew so thick in
some spots that she was afraid she'd lose sight of him. Grabbing her horse's
harness, she led him through the woods, following Py as closely as she could.
They came upon a beautiful pond, surrounded by flowers and trees
and strange looking rocks. Each rock was large in size, and different colors.
They sparkled as if there were tiny diamonds painted on each surface. Some were
a beautiful dark blue, some were a very pale rose and others were a light green.
It was magnificent! She tied her horse to a low tree branch and walked to the
pond. It was breath-taking.
She gasped, "The water in this pond isn't blue at
all..it's...it's lavender! Py, look at this. The water is lavender colored. How
very strange!"
She kneeled down to skim the water with her fingers. As she moved
her hand back and forth, the water first became full of golden sparkles, as if
someone had tossed gold dust onto the surface. Then, almost as quickly as the
sparkles appeared, they vanished, leaving the water a crystal clear lavender.
She could see herself in the pond's reflection. She exclaimed. "Come and see how
beautiful this is!"
Py came up beside her and she could see his reflection too. She skimmed her hand across the water once more, to show her little friend the golden sparkles that appeared. Once again, in glorious swirls, wondrous golden sparkles surfaced. Like before, the sparkles vanished, but to her surprise, she didn't see Py's reflection next to hers! What she did see was a most handsome young man.
