Jilla shook her head in disbelief. Her attention was then directed
toward a glistening pile of smooth, iridescent stones that she had noticed
earlier. "What are those beautiful stones over there?" she asked her new
friend.
"Those are Wishstones! Whenever we have a blue moon, which is a
very rare thing indeed, we look closely to see if there may be a moonbow, which
is even rarer! When moon dust slides down the hot moonbow beams, it collects the
colors on the way down, and melts the dust at the same time. At the end of the
moonbow, we find these pebbles or stones made of molten glass, much like one
would find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!

Hold one of the stones up to a light and the swirls disappear and you see the exact color of a blue moon! After they have cooled, we collect them and leave them in special places where people can find them.

If they are true believers of goodness and kindness, and if they have true love for all, they will know what to do with the stone. Many of those who get them, give them to someone else out of love. They know that they can get another. Wishstones will do the very same things that fairy dust and fairy and elfin orbs can, but because they are the first to be heated and formed by a blue moon, their powers are much stronger! The others are just residue. If you truly believe, the stone can grant all your wishes and prayers...but you must truly believe, without one doubt!"
Jilla was looking at one of the stones. "Oh look!" she exlaimed. "This one has little places where the color didn't stick!"
"No, the color always sticks! What you see are the hand prints of an impatient elfin or fairy who did not wait for the stone to cool before moving it! The color comes off if the stone is handled while it is still hot!"
How wonderfully sweet! Four little handprints, two on each side of the stone. How precious this stone was.
Eef was watching her closely and finally said, "You may have that stone if you would like it. I feel very strongly that it is suppose to be yours! You will know how to make it work for you when you need it. You will know when the time is right. I will tell you how to activate it before you leave to continue your journey."
"Oh thank you so much!" She turned the stone over and over again in her hand, held it up to the light, and then placed it in her pocket.
